Magy's 2014 NaPoMo
I've already failed at writing a poem every day of April, but I thought I'd jump into the fun, even though I'm not sure how consistent I'll be...
Hermit’s Song
I don’t like to wake with the sun,
there’s something too-much
in that morning haze,
far-off furl of fluorescence.
I prefer the quiet going away at dusk,
all that the sun leaves behind.
Stronghold of night, safety only possible
when all the world’s doors are shut.
The safety of a moving train,
the certainty of it, hurtling towards
the horizon.

Magy,
No, no failure here! I love the way the poem builds up to, and then turns after, this line:
far-off furl of fluorescence.
Fantastic!
